SPONSORED CARDIOVASCULAR SCREENING PROGRAM
Pfizer pharmaceutical company and Health Plus pharmacy have come together to provide free cardiovascular screening programme at various sites within the Lagos Metropolis. One of the locations for this screening exercise was in Ikota Shopping Complex within the Eti-Osa Local Govt Community in Lagos State on Saturday the 18th of April.
The provided services include:
– Free Blood Pressure Measurements
-Free Cholesterol Tests
-Free Blood Sugar Tests
-Free BMI Calculations
– Advice on Cardiovascular Health and Lifestyle Modification
The research summary was done based on data gathered jointly with Health Plus personnel. These data include blood pressure values, blood sugar values, weight, height, cholesterol. These data were analyzed without personal identifiers in different groups.
Findings: There was no direct significant relationship between raised blood cholesterol and presence of hypertension or diabetes
